Cajun Spice Mix
Cajun Spice Mix
Ingredients :
2 teaspoons Salt
2 teaspoons Garlic powder (available at all big food stores)
2 1/2 teaspoons Paprika (available at all big food stores)
1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Onion Powder (available at all big food stores)
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (this can be replaced with Kashmiri Mirch powder)
1 1/4 teaspoons dried Oregano (available at all big food stores)
1 1/4 teaspoons dried Thyme (available at all big food stores)
1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
Direction :
Stir together salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes until evenly blended. Store in an airtight container.
NOTE : You can use this spice for any Cajun or Creole dishes. They can even turn your regular chicken curry in an exotic dish :)
